Just completed this one last week, it`s made out of pine and is getting a red mahogany stain, with a clear exterior finish. It took just over 40hrs to complete, im now building one out of cedar.

Hi
I really like the bench…nice work. Is it from a plan or is it your own.
If it is from a plan can u tell me where to get it.

Thanks

I purchased the plan at lee valley, you can also get the plan and a video from the new yankee workshop. Thank you for the compliments!

Great bench! I have been thinking about building Lutyens bench for the past couple of years, what was the most difficult part? Or with the Lee Valley plan was it pretty straight forward?

the most difficult part is the glue up, I cheated, on the back crest and arm slats, I only doweled one end and used a pocket jig and plug on the other. Make sure if it says 1 15/16” use 1 15/16” everything is very percise. I found with the plan you had to guess alot, but everything worked out in the end.
