Here is my project for the challenge 09!
Due to my wife being pregnant and last week
her going into the Hospital I kinda didn’t get to
finish this project on time or get pictures of the scraps I used.
We almost lost our baby at 28 weeks anyway thats a whole other
blog right there. All is good now and she got out Saturday.

But anyway here’s what I did get done!
The tree limbs were all laying on the side of the road leftover from
when the county workers trimmed the trees on the side of the
county roads. I got a to a few limbs before they came and burned them.

I used old cans of fast drying Minwax poly left over from a cabinet repair
job I did last summer. The dark walnut stain was from another job for a
cabinet I did in a bathroom lastyear also.

the 2”x4” puzzle box was scraps found in a jobsite dumpster!

The last picture is my daughter Sumiko!
If you look closely shes sticking her tounge out at saying ha ha you didn’t
get your project done!!!!
I’m totaly excited waiting for this baby but I prefer to wait the whole term!
Thanks for the scare Sumi!!!! Already a prankster like daddy!! hahaha!

Glad to hear wife and little one are ok. They really are the most important projects. My third was finished last Friday so not much woodworking is going on right now for me either.

Glad to hear all is well with your family.

Great selection of projects. I think your ‘King of Scrap’ title is safe my friend.

David, Glad to hear the wife and baby are good. I know that feeling. Very cool boxes. I really like the 2×4 box and may have to try somethin like it out. Do you have any information on how you made it?
