Kentucky Stick Folding Chair
Many have done this chair, but I liked the style of it and how it looks especially in a garden or in nature.
At the end I did found out that it is comfortable to sit on also.
Made this one out of reclaimed switish pine wood which I first treated for fangus etc. to protect it from weather and finished it with several coats of UV clear varnish as I wanted to keep its natural wood look.
Thanks for watching

Nice work on the chair. I agree, it looks cool around the garden. You should get many years out of it.

So you finally made one. I’ve seen those and they look like a fun project.
Good to hear that it’s also comfortable to sit in.
Thanks for sharing.

Nice work Stelios. The first time I saw one of these was during a visit to Belize. Very interesting chair!

I bet it’s a challenge to make such construction, it would be fun to try. It looks comfortable too, as you already tried. I like that natural wood look also. It doesn’t seem too complicated to make- maybe I’m wrong.

Folding Up
I forgot to take a photo of the chair folded so I borrow one from the net to give you an idea (I guess you already know) how it looks folded up :)

Thank you klaus… No I have no idea who originally design this stick chair. I did Google it but I had no luck on that.

This is certainly an unusual and very creative chair. It’s also nicely done.

Thank you Charles, there’s something in this design that it challenged me to build one.
