I recently made a couple of lidded boxes on the lathe. This makes a great ring box or jewelry box. I made mine out of cherry. It’s a great turning project, because you get to use several tools and you get to practice different techniques.
I’ve also made a video tutorial for those who are interested.

Nice job with the boxes. I use mine for pills when I travel. Like you said, there’s a few different processes to go through.
