This is a modular tool handle for holding 3/8” woodturning tools. The wood is hickory I cut on my sawmill in 2014. The insert came from Thompson Lathe Tools.

8 coats of spray poly that was rubbed out after 30 days of curing.

Nice looking handle. I prefer to have all my tools handled so I can just grab the one I want.

In reply to Papadan, I leave the tool in at all times. When the tool wears down, I put a new one in. I buy all my tools unhandled from D-Way or Thompson.
