Shipping Crate Dog Bed

For my dog Stanley’s 2nd birthday, I built a shipping crate themed dog bed. A step folds out so he can get up into the bed. I put carpet on the step and on the surface where his dog bed will lay. I used 3/4” birch plywood and cheap pine for the trim. I left it rough (like shipping crates typically are) and covered the whole thing with epoxy to make sure no one gets splinters. He is one spoiled dog for sure.

Such a great idea, and incredibly creative. I like all the details you included. Stanley’s a lucky guy. Cute too.

Thanks RichTaylor! It’s nice to do a project like this for a change, where I can be creative, but not have to worry about being terribly accurate. : )
