This is a shadow box that I made for a retiring Navy chief in 2004. It’s a combination of maple and walnut wood with some brass decoration.

The shadowbox part is about 3 feet across (I think), not counting the handles.

Nice job! Would have really loved one of these when I retired as a Chief in 89.

How original. Looks better than the standard shadow box that I have for my Army retirement flag. I’m still jealous, the Navy has better looking uniforms than the Army and now much nicer shadow boxes. Oh the food is way better also.
