This living room set consists of a coffee table and two end tables constructed with birdseye maple, hickory, and bolivian rosewood. Its all mortise and tennon joinery with handcut dovetails on the drawers.

The birdseye/rosewood coffee table top is 36” X 36” and is 19” tall (made this size purposely for playing cards and dominoes). 100% mortise and tennon on everything, even the shelf on the bottom is a really long and shallow mortise and tennon. The finish is gloss polyurethane over tung oil except for the top which has an epoxy finish.

The end table tops are 21” X 21” and they are 23.5” tall. The drawer is kept from pulling all the way out by a dowel rod stuck through the inside of the drawer. There is a motion sensored light inside the drawer that comes on when you put your hand in. I wanted the drawer to be hidden so that took a little creativity to make things sturdy, the front legs are attached to the top with a dowel rods to compensate for not building it the usual way people do. The finish is the same as the coffee table.

Wow very impressed. Might be a little loose on the Shaker part there.
