1st i must throw this out, the pics suck i know, they were from my phone, i forgot my camera..sorry
ok this 1 was finished almost 2 months ago, however it sat in the garage since then collecting massive amounts of but finally yesterday we made it out there to actually install it
jackie is a quilter, if thats the right word for it, she makes
anyways she needed something that would hold up to a queen size quilt without pinching, pulling or having to put holes thru the fabric and also to show off her quilts just the length was more then enough of an issue as 8 foot long is tough, but after almost 2 weeks of bouncing around ideas about holding the quilt we finally found the solution and of course then theres the 8 foot part which was really tough to get around but we got there, no pinching, no screw holes, no twisting, nothin, it holds perfectly, if its placed in correctly which it wasnt in the pics,
and i was also able to hide all screws except 1, not sure if it was a math issue of mine or if we ended up having an extra stud, but i think it was my so we have an extra coming
comments all welcome

It looks very nice. But, how do you hold the quilt up? It looks like it is draped over a board maybe.?

im not real sure how to explain it, but theres a metal closet rod with rubber ends, so its snag free, and then it has a place to sit just behind the crown molding while not having to lose…. ok scratch that, heres a basic side
side view
basicly the dowel drops out the bottom, youd fold the quilt over, then stick it back into its lil hole.. that lock tab swings in and out to be like a safety block in case u have kids and they wont have a big metal rod land on
but for the most part gravity seems to hold it just fine, its a queen size hanging in the pic and even some decent tugging on it doesnt pull it out
