I have long been fed up with these broom stem breakages , so I decided to make one unbreakable mop stick by myself.
I have a lot of wood and veneer scraps to choose from.

Ditto the above comment—
But it is nice to be reminded that something can be extremely utilitarian—and still catch the eye.
An often overlooked concept today.
Wasn’t always that way—browse through old hand tool and household appliance catalogs.

That is one fancy mop handle. Should last awhile.

Agreed, this is way overboard for a mop handle.

I love the “impossible” dovetail at the top – keep ‘em guessing! Great work!

Beautifully done. It could almost make me want to do some house cleaning. Well, almost ~

Harry Potter should have a broomstick this delightfully made. As MyFathersSon said, there was a time when lavish ornamentation of everyday items was not considered untoward. I think it’s great.

I imagine if this was a pool cue, people would be beating a path to your door with handfuls of Kroon and Euros.

This is a beautiful replacement handle but what are you doing to break all those handles? I’ve never broken a handle except when I used it as a lever.

Very nice. I’m with Doug and I thought it was a cue stick.
