This is a recent pen I made of English Yew Wood the same wood used in English Longbows. It has 6 coats of medium CA and was wet sanded through all the micromesh ranges except for the first 2 grits (I do not use those). I like this wood and am going to try and find some more, it turns and finishes beautifully and makes and elegant pen. This one has both Heart and Sapwood.

Beautiful pen Jerry. Love the colors with both sap and heart wood in this. Nice shape also.

Keep it up.

Looks real nice. The finish looks good and smooth. I’ve recently been trying to do a CA Medium finish and 2 so far haven’t looked to bad. I wish they were a-lot smoother. Previously I was using CA Thin not knowing better. :)

What is your procedure on this method?

Hey this looks really nice! I like the finish a lot, I’m definitely going to have to try your technique.
