My first all steel plane,0-1 tool steel with a Mopane wedge. It is constructed with a 3mm core flanked in 1mm plates riveted together with 34 individual 2mm rivets, probably overkill but better to have too many than not enough.Annoyingly I seem to have misplaced my 2mm drill rod, something I only realised after I had drilled the holes so I had to turn down some 5mm drill rod instead, very tedious. He is 75mm long by 40mm high.
I have named him Conan the Rebater.

Very nice. I would like to do some metal body planes some time.

Nice. Very industrial looking.

Very good job on the plane and the name. I’m curious if the tip of the wedge acts as a breaker and if the area for shavings may be a bit small?
