tony i liked your box so i tried to make one for a friend. I finally got it right as you can see i made two other tries
before i got the sizes right. I used your recommends for parts it works great . I used there other two for kleenex gave to wife and daughter in law.It does not look as good as yours but it works.Made out of butternut ,spalted maple and walnut.

Nice effort and it’s your own? Nice woods in the boxes. Maybe some walnut inlay for accent?

Those are some nice boxes. I think you did a fine job and the wood is attractive. As you pointed out, the original design was Tony (woodshaver). I may make one this year.

Great job on your boxes David! Love the butternut spalted maple. I need to make one more for my son. He wants to put one in a consignment shop. I’m not sure how much they would be worth but I’ll leave that up to him. He’s in North Carolina.

Great job Dave. Tony’s idea is cool. He gave me a set of pins when I visited him, that I will use to build one soon. Just have to be cautious the grandchildren. Nice selection of lumber.
