Hi all,
I built this one a few years back but finally found the pictures I took of it… This was made completely from scraps of pine project panels that I had left over from another project…
I found the design idea in one of my many woodworking magazines (can’t remember which one though). All together, I think I spent about 3 hours on this one (including 3 coats of wipe on poly)
This book stand has come in very handy around the shop and could easily be used in the kitchen as a recipe book holder…
Not nearly as nice or fancy as the one Lee Jesberger built, but it serves me well…
Hope you all like it…
Wisty
PS: I built this before I built my shop while I was working in my wife’s garage…

Hi Wisty;
Thanks for remembering mine!
I just had some nicer scrap left over at the time, is all.
Nice job.

Thanks Lee,
Someday I’ll have some better scraps kicking around.. For now, still working with Fir and Maple a lot as that is what I have tons of… Would love to have some exotic woods in the Wisty shop, but that will all come later…

A very elegant way to read. Lovely piece. Now I just need some oversized books.
Have your say...
