Built this a year ago to go with a dresser I built 16 years earlier. Added the full extension slides as it’s a filing cabinet. It’s 32” tall.

Sweet design for that cabinet. I will have to remember this when I have the skills, and tools, to make a nice piece of furniture. My mother would love to replace her old filing cabinet with something nicer and she loves wood furniture. Is it considered rude to ask about your techniques and choice of materials? any chance for a pic of the interior structure? you can even hide the files that hold any plans for world domination…or not.

It’s not rude at all. I suggest you look at my projects and look up my chest on chest dresser. My plans are from WoodSmith Vol 21 /#125. The cabinet is just a modification of the plans for the base of the WoodSmith dresser. In my opinion plans are like a recipe and they can be changed to suit the builder/cook. I’d be more than happy to share pictures and help you in any way.
