an old desk

this is an old oak desk that i have redone for a friend..the first pic is the desk after staining with walnut.. the panels were good on the front. but the side ones were coming apart so i painted some 1/8 board apple red and glued them in place. i also added the trim on the front to seperate the large space. i finished the top with 4 coats off polly, and the frame with 2 coats of brush on laquer. my friend was very happy about it and said since it turned out so nice his wife might let him bring it in the house..
