I made this to hold a painting of my Grandfather. The wood was reclaimed from a local house that was torn down last year. I was told the home was built in the 40’s and all the framing was red oak or poplar except for a newer addition.

I used a planer sled to get one side flat and a table saw sled to square an edge. The splines are cedar. The finish is oil and poly.
