Scary table

Had a girl ask me to build this table, half way through she decided she couldn’t afford it so I finished it anyway. Built it out of wood from an old door and lumber from a 100 year old house. The trim around the top is walnut from an old upright piano, the drawer handle and “planchette” are made out of walnut. Just finished it today. Still have to pick up some glass for the top. Don’t know what I’m going to do with it, hopefully I can find someone who likes spooky coffee tables!

I believe that table should sell. Just put a little creative thought into where to put it for marketing. That will be the trick to selling it. And take a hint from the “Drunkin WoodWorker” you made an artistic piece don’t undersell this unique piece of work. Well done ! I was selling at a country market for two years and all had to be new products no garage sale crap..this would have been great.

Thanks! Fortunately I don’t have a lot of money in it since I scavenged all the materials. Just my time. Next time I’ll insist on a deposit!

To the right person, and I believe there are many of them, that table should command big bucks. It’s VERY nicely done.

Thanks all! I usually require a deposit but she was so enthusiastic and was on me a lot to get started so it seemed a sure thing. I put some extra touches in it once she backed out and left out personalized things she wanted so I’ll probably get a little more for it now. Thanks again!

Wow! You have done a great job on this table and it’s too bad that you lost your client. Hopefully you can find another customer. It’s a little out of the ordinary but it’s certainly been done with a lot of care and craftsmanship.
