I bought a lathe on Sunday on a killer sale and turned my very first projects on Tuesday night. I’m rather proud of these pens. The wood lathe is the most fun I’ve ever had woodworking. I can’t believe that I waited this long to get into turning!
The top pen is Jatoba, I think. The bottom one is either Blackwood or Ebony. I think Blackwood but who knows. Hehe.

Seek immediate medical help. You are now a life-long turning/pen making addict. Welcome to the club….we’ve been waiting for you.

Might as well start selling of those useless flat work tool….you are headed down into the vortex!
Nice looking pens. I wish my first looked that good. Save them and compare them as you go. The “turning” curve is very fast!
