Yes Donnie , that is what I like about working with diamond willow , you are free follow the shape of the wood or change it . I love the way it twists and curves . It lends itself to free form shaping, your imagination is your only barrier . You have a great deal of creative freedom with an oversized piece of wood . I think the key to shaping diamond willow is how you shape the space ‘between’ the diamonds and form the flow/path down the lengh of the stick.
