Built this little thing quickly, as a challenge to myself. My neighbor showed me something similar he bought at a craft store for $60. Made this in two days just for fun. Got the glass in bulk from a flea market, and the mirror came from goodwill. All for under 4$. The maple I had left over.
Turned out pretty nice and my neighbor was impressed. Used a keyhole router bit for the hanging slot on the back. Got the eagle from eBay. Bulk purchase of old steel eagles I painted gold. Couple bucks each.
Feel free to copy or improve. Shout out to my wood kinfolk. Hope 2017 brings you many inspired projects.

Great looking candle lantern—I’m sure you’ll enjoy having it in your home!
