Turned these baby rattles as a shower gift for a friend having twins. Made from basswood carving billets. Hollowed on the lathe with a fostner bit then filled with rice and glued back together. A little wire burning hides the seam. Dyed using food coloring and alchohol mixture and sealed with clear shelac.
