A small valet box from Redheart and Purpleheart. A simple concept, but much more difficult then I anticipated. If I ever make one like this again I will make and assemble the box itself then, fit and form the lid. When I make anything, I just make it without plans or dimensions, and then resolve problems or issues as they arise. There may be something to this idea of thinking ahead and I may try it someday.
In any case, the Brass plugs/caps are from Rockler and the bottom is lined with some thick crafty paper stuff. The finish is super blond shellac.

This is a beautiful box and I love the wood. It also has some really nice details.
