Here is a wardrobe (I can’t spell armoi…whatever) I made for my wife. Started around mid November and finished on March 12. First I built the carcase, then the drawer skeleton, then the drawers, then a shelf and put all of that together in our bedroom befor starting on the doors. Except for the back panel and drawer bottoms, 100% walnut hardwood. I even had extra panels left over so made the top of raised panels. I rout both sides of the panel equally so it does not stand proud of the frame. She is so happy with it I get to start on the matching bed tomorrow. Then the end tables.
I bought about 100 board feet of the walnut at a MacBeaths that was closing in our area, then another 175 bd ft out of a garage, so I averaged about $2.50 a foot. Finished with Watco Danish Oil (dark walnut) and brushing lacquer, which I am giving up on. Too many brush marks. I will use wipe on poly for the rest of the pieces.

Whatever you want to call it—it is a BEAUTIFUL piece
