this is a lamp i made a couple of years ago, it came from an old fence post that is on our family ranch…and came from a tree that was 400 to 500 years old…...i carved and shaped it also using some of its natural designs… am working on getting a custom lamp shade made that will add to this projects beauty, the base of the lamp is black walnut, thank you for taking a look…..grizzman

Now I know why you spend time in the woods looking for tree trunks!\
Nice work, Grizz. I really like the rustic nature of the piece.

Very nice grizz,

Try posting it next time with out the bear carvings. My wife is a nut for bear carvings.
I will try to keep her from looking…. Hey look the grand kids are here. That will distract her.

Thanks for posting.

You’re the man Bob, that is gorgeous. Man nothing can produce anything close to nature, right? How ya been feeling old friend? Well I hope, I took a nose dive the other day which precipitated a trip to the Dr. She said I’d live which was great news of course. Stay upright, it don’t hurt so much. Stay healthy you old bear, mike – ps did you carve those bears behind the lamp?

Beautiful lamp Grizz and it’s nice to have something from home. You should post it again when you get the shade done.

Very nice. I’ll stay tuned to see how the shade turns out. I’ve made several natural form table lamps and haven’t found a shade that quite matches. Like everything else, I fear I need to make my own…
