A project I made at the request of my son. He’s in college at Va Tech and loves to make music. He wanted something to protect his expsensive synthesizer.
We started with a simple case pattern and he asked to spruce it up. He found some low res pics with patterns he liked.
Unfortunately importing into photo V carve was pretty ugly. So, I imported to sketcup and replicated the patterns and then saved those as jpegs and then imported to photo v carve and it was a winner.
Imported those cut pathes into V-Carve PRO.
I used 10 mm barrel hinges a 6mm rare earth magnets as a clasp.
Tray was flocked with wine flocking (school colors)
The box is finised with about 8 coats of lacquer and he loves it.

Really beautiful. Great job. I have never successfully installed Soss hinges or barrell hinges, so congrats on that too!

this time it was easy as they were cut with CNC. I did it before by making a template to drill through. Hinges actually were easy to install. Same applies for the small magnet.
