Project Information
This is the step stool I designed and built in shop class. I chose walnut because I thought it looked good and it is very heavy duty. After I cut my pieces to size and routed the sides it was time to stain my projects. I decided to use Antique Cherry because it just gave the wood a darker look. After that I screwed my project together and started with my coats of clear. After three coats I was feeling my top and it just seemed rough, obviously because of how rough the wood was. So I took some 220 sandpaper and sanded don't the clear until it was smooth and had no bubbles. Finally I very lightly spread my last coat of clear onto my project, and it was complete.
