I decided to make my wife a couple of frames for her kitchen since sunflowers seemed to be a theme in there. I salvaged some oak from some pallets at work and started building.

I had to build a small template out of aluminum and using double-stick tape I was able to cut out the petals for the flowers using a router. The stained wood would be considered a “red” oak and the unstained is a “white”. The dowel stem is “red” and the finish is poly.

Looks neat.
I think I’ll try a few for my wife.
