I have a very bad problem of never throwing away any amount of wood that I think is big enough to use for something else. A while ago I hit critical mass and had to start using my cut offs lest I no longer have space to actually woodwork, so I started making several different business card holder designs to use as gifts and I put some up on my Etsy store. They were well received so I kept making them.
Made from Maple, Butternut, Cherry and Walnut. Sanded to 220, add edges are eased, raw linseed oil is applied as a finish.
Cheers,
-Chris

These look nice and just the thing for using short pieces of nice wood.
