Here’s another long bowl made from Sugar Maple. This is from the other side of the log from Long Bowl #3.

I textured the bottom of the bowl with a wire brush mounted in my lathe. Then I gave it a couple of coats of black Milk Paint. After sanding the painted surface, I finished the whole bowl with Orange Shellac.

Nice design! I like the combinaiton of the smooth natural finish on the inside with the painted textured surface on the outside.
