Master Bath Cabinets

This is my first real project. It all began a few years ago when my wife and I wanted to redo our master bathroom, and we didn’t want to pay what we considered to be very high prices for custom cabinets. So, after a few years of acquiring (most of) the right tools, watching videos, reading a ton (especially on lumberjocks), and my wife’s encouragement, I went to work on this first project. This was the result.

All quartersawn oak face frames, quartersawn ply for the boxes and door panels. Bridle joints for all of the doors. Box joints for the drawers. I built everything except the chair (I need to learn to build a stool). All lumber started as rough sawn. Everything is finished with General Finishes ebony stain and then coated with Arm-r-seal.

I know it’s not perfect, but I’m pretty happy with the result. I’ll take any comments or critique the community may have, because I am truly loving this hobby and want to continue to learn.

This is a truly well done bathroom cabinet set! I really like the contrasting colors in the room, and like the design and look of the upper cabinets!

thanks for sharing! I like the project and am hunting for ideas. Lots of work goes into doing bathrooms especially when you make it all yourself!
