A sword display case for a friend’s son who earned the sword while attending a military school. I had more trouble with this project than I should have. But in the end they were very pleased with the case. I truly appreciated the suggestions I received from the LJ folks. It is red oak stained and several layers sprayed on lacquer.

Very nice John. A fitting home to display such beautiful items. Was it all together and you sliced the door from the “box” or did you make it separately? The flocking or material goes well with the color stain you chose. Lastly, nice job on the hinge work!

Those swords look mgicant, as well as the box display.

Looks mighty darn beautiful from here. I think you did a great job and hey, you learned a bit on the journey too.

Wow ! I still have mine from 51 years ago. Grandson will get it when he graduates.
Have thought for years about a display case for it and a Pennsylvania long rifle I built many years ago.
Now you have me thinking, that’s dangerous.
