Well I finally finished it… took me 2 months and my wife hates me because I’ve been in the basement every day for 2 Months, but I’m done. Vanity for my bathroom. Decided to take on this project when me and the wife went to a big box store and saw the junk you get for $600.. I told her I could make one better for the same price and I hope I did. Went and spend about $600 on supplies to build it and when I started I thought I would have to explain to my wife why we have to spend another $600 on a real vanity. I think I might be hooked on this now. wife finally came down and saw it and could not believe I built it.
it’s not Perfect.. but I am very happy with it.

You should be happy with that vanity. Obviously your wife is as well. That is a really fine looking cabinet. Your both going to love it for years.

That’s really impressive. The fact that you did flush mount drawers says a lot about your woodworking talent. Very difficult to do and very well executed. You have to spend quite a bit more than $600 to buy a piece like that in the store. Your wife should be proud of you and I hope that you acquired some new tools in the process of building this because you’ll have them the rest of your life. You certainly acquired some new skills.

WOW. That is really impressive.
I would be very proud if I’d made that myself.
Really great job, Congratulations.
Thank you for sharing with us.

Joey,
Two months is breakneck speed! The vanity looks wonderful. Not only would it cost you a great deal more than $600 for a similar vanity, you have a one-of-a-kind custom vanity! Thanks for sharing and welcome to LJs.

Very NICE!!!!! Now that your wife sees the quality of your work, I bet there are more project requests to follow.
Most of my projects start out with my wife saying “Honey, do you think you could build this for me?” I typically respond with something like, “I believe I could if I had a .” ;)
