A friend of mine brought over an old steamer trunk and asked if I could fix it up for him. My first thought was that needed he to haul this off to the dump, not fix it up… the interior (pine) was rotted pretty bad and it was full of mill worms. I told him I had my doubts, but we could try. I didn’t think to take a picture of it before we started working on it, but this was the finished product. In spite of my doubts, I think it turned out pretty well.
He had a friend do the laser engraving on a piece of maple veneer for the lid. The rest was done in cedar with a dovetailed maple tray.

You did a fine job on refurbishing this trunk.
