True this project isn’t entirely form wood but the bass was the more involved part of the project and it is nearly entirely wood!

The base is made exclusively from Chakte Viga. The image is of the “Deathly Hallows” emblem from the Harry Potter series and is etched by hand into 1/4” thick Acrylic.

Both of my daughters are big Harry Potter fans and one of them loved the Batman lamp I made for my grandson last year so she was wanting to know if I could do some sort of a Deathly Hallows related clock/lamp/thing… Well this took me a while to figure out. I tried a few concepts of how to make the symbol and didn’t really care for any of them. So when web surfing for ideas I found these neat little edge-lit LED acrylic lamps and thought, heck I can do that! lol… Silly silly me…

The base houses the electronics which allow a remote to turn the light on and off and adjust the color as well as many fading/blinking features.
