This project started out as a spare bedroom with a closet. My friend owns the house and he wanted a place to watch TV that would be quiet and not on the main floor of the house. They had decided that a TV in the closet opening would do the trick. After seeing the opening we had plenty of room so they had cable and electrical ran into the back of the opening and I came up with this design. All Quartersawn White Oak veneers and hardwoods to match the house cabinetry, along with the simple craftsman doors. 3” rails and stiles and a 1.75” center stile. The TV is 42” and perfect size for the 8-10ft vviewing distance.

Very nice! It’s very pleasing to the eye!

I like it! The doors look like another wood species. Is it stained oak or another species?

Nice work – I like the crown molding around the top – gives it a finished look.
