Preparing for a rustic wedding we came upon the idea to make path lights out of the wood from an old fence that was blown down during Hurricane Matthew. The base on each was about 12” deep and had room to hold a paver brick for stability and a block of wet foam for the flowers that went into it for the wedding.

Great looking lamps, and nice salvage of the fence boards!

By the way, how did you get power to the lights inside?

The lights inside the jars were battery powered. A small battery pack with 2 AA batteries and then a strand of lights about 6’ long.
