Wife decided that we had out grown our old 2 drawer file cabinet and asked me to make a 3 drawer one. I had some red oak boards lying around so I figured I would use them up with this project. I tried to add a little visual flair to an other wise mundane piece of furniture. The real trick to this project was to build in enough structural support for the front of the cabinet. The back has a full size panel to make it sturdy but the front only had the 3/4” framing. I used under mount slides, 2 per drawer.

Looks good. Dressed them up nicely.
Well done.

Lovely file cabinet. You added some very nice detailing. I especially like the drawer fronts. Nice work.
