Inspired by the shape of G5 Montec broadheads. Made from 6 separate pieces of oak all glued with simple butt joints. Used a 45 degree router on both the front and back side to create the blades, and a cove on the rest for decoration. Stained dark to contrast the skull and match the antlers, then finished with poly. I mounted the skull by filling the brain cavity with 2 part epoxy and one screw through the back of the plaque into the epoxy. I am very happy with my 2016 PA Archery plaque and display.
-- What? I didn't "break" it, I was just testing its durability, and then I "placed" it in the woods because it's made of wood and I just thought he should be with his family.

Coolest thing ever!!!! You should make a youtube video on how you went about making that. Im new to woodworking so I wouldn’t have a clue but I love it and know a bunch of others who would too.
Have your say...
