This was built for a friend of my wife, she couldn’t find a decent toy box anywhere. She wanted the raised panel in the front, the bench idea was mine. As her child gets older and no longer needs a toy box she’ll have a nice blanket chest / bench. Solid Pine, stained and varnished.

very nice …I built one with the same idea for my son a while back… it will be a good chest for him if he doesnt tear it up in the next 18 years.
