I’ve been lazy about uploading some of my recent projects. Thought I’d add a couple starting with this Maple end table/ small tavern table. Pegged motise and tenons, dovetailed drawer, tapered legs.

The lines are classic and very clean. Nice Job. Did you us a 1.618 “golden section” ration in planning the layout?

I’ll be honest with you, I flunked geometry in HS. If it fits into the golden section ratio it is because I have a natural eye for what looks good. Maybe in another life I helped design the Notre Dame in Paris : )
I measured the space where it was going, decided the height was going to be somewhere between an end table and a dinner table, I wanted the drawer to be deep enough to be able to put stuff in it. Next I checked how much Maple I had, then built it to the “make it look nice with what I have” ratio.
It is 28” h, the top is 16×34, and the base is 12×24.
Thanks Everyone
