Egg shaped vessel 4 1/4” D x 5” H turned from green cypress. When I finished this it developed a split at the top rim so I decided to experiment on it with leather dyes. I have to give credit to Trifern for describing how he uses colors in my first attempt imitating his method. I thought it came out pretty good for my first attempt!

very nicely done…I am in the process of doing the same with the dyes similar to Trifern…. I actually just dyed my piece red today… and am going to try something a little different to see how it turns out…hopefully good…pretty figured piece of maple… don’t want to waste it.. nice job though…

Great turning and great hunk of wood. The finish is wonderful too.
