I have a total of 10 designs now. They are made from 100% Aromatic Cedar. The wood is Cedar closet liner from Lowes. I love the color of the wood I get from them. But I use a tip from Steve at Woodworking for mere mortals to use Contact Adhesive and let it sit for 20-30 seconds before placing the patter and when its to remove take it off it peals off like sticky notes. So now I print the pattern and glue it to the cedar and glue 2 more pieces on the bottom so I can make 3 at a time. Then i use a band saw to cut out the outside and a scroll saw for the inside. Then I sand the rough back and glue off with 220 grit and then finish it off with 1000 grit sand paper that I got for my bench top belt sander. I didn’t know they made it until I stumbled across it on Amazon. The 1000 make the cedar POP and makes them smooth like glass.

Cool ornaments! I understand the bear, bison, moose, heart, and $, but what is the significance of the “406”?
Thanks for posting. Merry Christmas!

Thanks leafherder. The entire state of Montana is area code 406. We just hit over 1 million people in 2012.
