I completed a couple more bandsaw boxes. Both are made out of walnut. These boxes are finished with two coats of de-waxed shellac and three coats of tung oil. I put blue flock in the drawers.

I got the pattern for the larger box from “Scuplted Band Saw Boxes” by Lois Keener Ventura. I made a modification to the design thanks to LJ SawDustnSplinters He PM’ed me with directions on how to include a hidden drawer. The hidden drawer is in back of the main drawer. I think its a cool feature and adds a little character to box.

The smaller box is my own design, I made it out of the drawer core from my Chocolate Drip box. I gave it to my son, he wanted it to store guitar picks.

These boxes are so much fun to make I think I would be happy doing nothing but making these… but I have a couple other projects on my honey do list. Hope to get back to these later in the year.

Thanks for looking,
Cheers, Mike

Very nice once again! The curves make me want to pick them up. You have a knack for these.
