The inner part is 12×12”. 1/4×3/16 grooves every inch were done on the router table, finished with dewaxed shellac. Outer band was stained with Rust-Oleum “Kona”. In the picture (sorry about pics being on their side), where the project is clamped, There are 1/4×1 x 1 3/4 tabs that are used for blockers that fit in the grooves to block opposing players from advancing. Sort of like Chinese Checkers and again I’m sorry as I cannot remember the name of the game. Anyway, my daughter & granddaughter like it. All the wood is white pine.

I bought the Lego version years ago for my daughter, little at the time, we still play.

Americancanuck – you’re right. Thanks for remembering it for me. I know it won the “Mind Game” title in 1994. My granddaughter is autistic and wraps her mind around this game like she was made for it. She always wins.
