Fly tying tool & spool caddy

I made this for a friend so he can organize his fly tying gear. It is made out of 1 1/2 inch oak, so it is heavy like a brick. I used aluminum dowels for the spool holders because they look good and they are much stronger than the 1/4 inch dowels I could find. Take care, George

Very nice.
Really like the aluminum dowels…’s up the project.
Looks like he is nearly out of spool space. Time to expand it.

Get him to take you fly fishing , a great sport./ The spool fixture is a great piece of work. The weight is an advantage.
