Custom, art, carving

Carved from a hickory cabinet door to begin with. Then framed the door with roundstock and built a shadow box style back for it. Made a custom tripod style stand for it also. This is one of my personal favorite projects I’ve ever done. I worked off and on with it for close to a year. Not continuously.

Nice work but the blast of all the commercial projects leaves me wondering. It makes the project page appear like somebody’s catalog page and you push others off the first page.

Redoak49, I appreciate your compliment. However, im not sure of the meaning of your other statements. What do you mean by “the blast of all the commercial projects?” I guess I don’t understand by your commercial label.
Am I using the projects page wrong. Mine is a one-employee shop. That’s me. This is a project I made as a gift for a friend of mine a couple years ago. I did it with a dremel and sanders and carving chisels. Please explain the meaning of your comment and if I am using the page wrongly. Thank you.

It’s beautiful work, Chad. Keep posting and collecting Buddies. There’s a wealth of amazingness around here. There’s no such thing as “using the projects page wrong.” It’s a great big, constant, global, show-and-tell session, where we all learn from one another.

Incredibly detailed carving and nice and authentic colouring.
