These are a couple of my first boxes that I have made, I made them for my mom and sister as Christmas presents. They are poplar sides, walnut corners and curly cherry lids. The walnut was purchased from the store, the cherry and poplar I slabbed out of some logs I picked up from a local landscaping company with a chainsaw and then electric hand planed down. For the tools I have, they turned out pretty decent. Some day a real jointer and planer would be nice.

Those are great. I really like that live edge lid.

These are beautiful boxes! Simple, but very unique with the live edge. I like the cornering also.

You did a fine job on those boxes. Someone’s going to enjoy their Christmas. I’m sure they will love them.
