Nice rattle, can’t imagine how it rings though. Is that spring loose or secured inside?

Thanks, all. The lines were carved with a dremel, the edges of the grooves were then rounded over with sanding sticks and sandpaper. The springs are not loose, I carved a slot for the base of each spring and glued them in with epoxy.

Ok—I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed—- But what’s the purpose of the spring?

9×9, the springs ring as the BBs inside bang against them as the rattle is shaken.

Great looking baby toy. Colours are magnificant. I hope lot of babies will play with it.
