I made these Harley Davidson signs on my CNC router. I wanted the signs look like they are old worn and Rustic. As you can see in the pictures, they are. I found the wood for the first sign on the side of the road. Brung it home, and came up with my design. This piece was already stained, so I carved out the words, then applied Steel Wool and Vinegar to the raw wood on the edges and painted the lettering. Today I made another one, Stained it, then carved the lettering. But this time applied a coat of Natural Wood stain, and matte clear finish.

Note I changed the Bullet holes in the Second one.

Thanks for looking

Well done. Look like they belong in a 1920’s movies western town set!
REAL BULLET holes would have been fun to put in!

I do like them. My favorite project wood is SALVAGE! Hey; I can afford that.
